This event will focus on the important role of the Circular Economy. The current linear business model no longer works for businesses and our environment, and a transition to a circular economy is vital to ensure Edinburgh’s sustainable recovery to reach its 2030 net zero target. We will be joined by the City of Edinburgh Council who will discuss their Draft 2030 Climate Strategy and Ostrero, a local circular business who will share insights on how they adopted the circular business model and their role in the city’s circular economy.
Speakers:
Paula McLeay, Policy and Insight Senior Manager, The City of Edinburgh Council
Mary Michel, Director, Ostrero
Attendees will:
  • Hear an update on the City of Edinburgh Council’s Draft 2030 Climate Strategy.
  • Learn what the Circular Economy is and the benefits it can bring to businesses.
  • Hear examples of how businesses have adopted the circular economy business model to help reduce, reuse and recycle.
  • Have the chance to input on the strategy as part of the consultation phase.
